Transmission manufactured by GM for use in cars and trucks. This transmission has four forward gears (three drive/one over-drive) and one reverse gear. This transmission should be differentiated from the 4L60. This is due to the 4L60e being electronically controlled through the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), while the 4L60 is not.
