Jan 8, 2014 at 3:10 comment added Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 @ashes999 ... Does it say on the top of the engine or engine cover?
Jan 7, 2014 at 21:37 comment added mikes A fourth variant of the generic heater is the dip stick heater. You remove your dipstick and insert the heated model. It will warm the oil but not much of the engine.
Jan 7, 2014 at 21:23 comment added ashes999 I'm not sure what type of engine I have, nor the size. Sorry. I'm not mechanically inclined by any stretch :)
Jan 7, 2014 at 20:06 comment added Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 I'm assuming you have a K20 variant engine? If you don't know, what size of engine is it?
Jan 7, 2014 at 19:31 comment added ashes999 I didn't see it. I'll try checking the manual and asking a service tech when I go for a service (soon). In the mean time, a picture of the engine would help, if you can find one (seems like you already have).
Jan 7, 2014 at 18:56 comment added Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Yes, to find it you would. The cord would be long enough (if attached to the heater) to extend beyond the hood for easy connect/disconnect to an extension cord, but would be under the hood since you don't readily see it.
Jan 7, 2014 at 18:51 comment added ashes999 Very useful, thanks. Do I understand correctly, that I need to pop my hood to find the block heater? I thought it would be pluggable without opening the hood.

Jan 7, 2014 at 17:36 comment added Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Sorry, was assuming Ontario, CA was Calif ... guess you must be in Canada then ;-) Sorry for the confusion. I will update my question if this is correct?
Jan 7, 2014 at 17:24 comment added ashes999 I'm not located in or around California, but the rest of your answer seems okay. I will investigate.
