Also applies to electrifying the vehicle - you will probably be the loser if anyone is hurt. I seem remember from college days about UK case law that if you have anything dangerous on your property that hurts someone, you are to blame even if they have no legal right to be there. | |

Just add it below the existing handle and lock assembly, and leave the original stuff in place. When you're in the truck, the door will be held closed by the original latch. The only challenge IMO is waterproofing the holes required by the MBL. | |

Since you don't use it that often, it will keep the elements off of it, you don't have to do something which might be illegal nor defacing to your vehicle, as well as keeping the casual I'm gunna go see what's in this piece of car just because it's unlocked kind of person out of it. Won't stop the serious kind of person who might want to get in it, but then, a window never stopped those people, either. | |
