comment Increase my cars BHP?
Slow cars make you a better driver. It makes you more aware of how to use the speed you've got and how to handle the car, and increases your judgement when it comes to overtaking. Plus, if it's on finance, the finance people don't really like you making changes to it.

comment Are bad winter tires still better than summer tires in winter?
@Kinaeh I would check the date of manufacture on the summer tyres with the link provided. If they're older than 5 years then I'd consider them scrap. Check the walls of the tyres for cracks. If they're cracking, I'd consider them scrap.

comment Simplest installation of car-powered car-pc
Literally a cigarette adapter with a USB lead to the Raspbery Pi would be all you really need. If you wanted something more long term, you could even come off the cig lighter wires behind the console and wire it that way.

comment How important is it to use a Mobil 1 oil filter if you are using Mobil 1 engine oil?
Can't vote this up enough. Cheap filters meet the bare minimum of standards. More expensive ones from trust brands (such as Blue Print, especially with Japanese cars) tend to be built more to the specification of the original OEM parts. Where as Crossland or Wix filters tend to just meet the generic industry standard.

comment Can i control the brakes of a car by the OBD II Interface?
It would depend on the car and the age of the car. The number of parameters accessed by the OBD II interface between older cars and newer cars, and even then it varies on the "level" of car. So a Mercedes Benz from 1999 will have more parameters accessible via the OBD II than a 2017 Toyota Aygo would for example.

comment Car just clicks when starting, and turns off while running
We had a Rover 820 that had a similar issue, where it would start but then die when in motion (30mph and it'd konk out!). It was down to a dodgy relay switch in some of the electronics. You would hear a clicking sound then it'd die.
