Despite being a rather small company in the world of motorcycles Aprilia has contested and won a vast quantity of world titles in various grand prix and superbike world championships over the years. Current models that have achieved wide success include the RSV two cylinder 1,000cc platforms such as the Mille and the Tuono. Recently Aprilia depricated the two-cylinder Rotax engine and implemented the RSV4, a v-four configured platform with 16 valves and DOHC.
