A filter used to reduce particulate count in air prior to air entering the throttle body or carburetor of an internal combustion engine.
Filter outside air before it enters the engine. Helps prevent engine damage. Filter element may be dry or oil soaked. May be made out of paper, cotton fiber, or oil-bath in older engines (elements may also be made out of other materials).
