I've been working on a Toyota 2C engine and have replaced the timing belt 3 times within a month and a half . one thing i observed though is the timing belt will be covered with oil every time i replaced it so i changed the crank front main seal and the cam seal ,but to my own surprise the new timing belt has already been covered in oil now comes the question where is the oil coming from .

  • Check all the pulleys that the belt drives - one may be seizing. Then clean the engine to be able to spot the source of the oil when it is running. – Solar Mike Jul 9 at 7:03
