I see that if the navigation system goes bad on an Acura you also lose the onscreen climate controls... My Acura has two types of climate control activation .1 is the onscreen you describe, the other is with the screen shutdown and the basic climate control named off and auto, you set it to auto and then set the desired temperature that the owner's manual and experience says turns a/c and heater on and off to maintain the set temperature .The navigation screen allows for more detailed vent settings and fan speed manually .My question, does a battery loss and malfunction of the navigation unit also disable the basic set and forget controls i am speaking of ?
