I have a 2016 Ford Transit. But answers that apply generally will be fine too. It has a turbo and a water intercooler.

I did a coolant flush, but I'm wondering if they did it right.

One shop said they had to take off the intercooler otherwise the flush wouldn't get all the fluid. They didn't do the flush because they couldn't get the intercooler off.

But I took it to another shop and they didn't take off anything, and claimed that a simple flush will get all the fluid out.

If they simply do a coolant flush with a machine, will it get all of the coolant in both the engine cooling loop and the intercooler loop?

Do the two loops share the same coolant, or are the working fluid (coolant) of the two loops isolated?

Is there any way I can verify that it was done correctly?
