Does anybody know of any electrical circuit retrofit plans involving gutting the fuse box located in the engine compartment next to the battery and installing a new circuit box in the trunk compartment. I think it was an answer to overheating problems associated with the brake light circuitry of the early 1990 Lincoln Town Cars.

  • Ouch. What you are asking is not an easy repair. I'd suspect you'd be much better off locating replacement parts from a salvage yard. For lots of what you need, the Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis or Lincoln Towncar used a whole lot of parts in common. – zipzit Mar 5 '19 at 7:48
