I did a dumb thing today. My 2006 chevy trailblazer holds 7 quarts of oil. It has a slow leak. I got around to putting some in it today. I bought the 5qt container and completely spaced out while pouring it in and ended up just pouring it all. I have no clue how low it was to begin with. My gauge is reading normal levels. Dip stick is about a half inch over max. I've only driven it about 5 miles home during which i definitely noticed a noise while accelerating. Now I'm terrified i ruined my car. I don't own the tools i need to drain the excess and since it is my only vehicle, just not driving it isn't really an option. How much can i drive it before i cause serious damage??
