VW Polo TDI , key flip broke and i bought a new case and transferred the chip circuit and key blade to the new case from the old one . Remote is working , i can unlock and lock the door from outside . Even roll down the window using new key. If i put the new key in the ignition and turns it starts the engine , but immediately fails and engine stops. When i try with the original spare key it works . When the duplicate key is then used the engine starts and holds good .But after switching off if i try to restart with the duplicate key it agains does not hold .Any idea what might be wrong .....

  • Have you tried re-pairing the keys with the car, there is usually a specific process to follow to make sure the keys are recognized correctly. – Solar Mike Jan 19 at 8:46
