Two months ago car died at work. I tried to jump start but car won't start. replaced battery next day and car started. so, I thought the issue was battery. But, few days later, I tried to start the car and it won't start. Tried to jump start again but it would not start again. Removed battery terminals and reconnected, car started and worked fine for few days. These has been happening for a while and it scary sometimes on whats causing the car suddenly to have no power but full power and starts working once battery terminal is removed and reattached. I took the car to show to few places they ran some checks but no issues found. Basically Car would work fine for few days and won't just start some day. I am not sure what changes when the battery terminal are removed and replaced resulting in car to start working.

Car is 2006 Chrylser Town and Country LX Minivan

  • Do the dash lights stay on or go out completely when it doesn't start? – Milison Jun 23 '18 at 21:55
  • I had a similar problem in a '89 Opel Vectra a long time ago. The cause? Bad engine control unit relay. If you want help, you should specify the make, model and year of the car. – juhist Jun 23 '18 at 21:57
