I'm looking at replacement engines for my 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 L 4-cylinder and I see one that mentions having the DOHC.

I'm wondering does that matter or not because I see others that do not have the DOHC.

  • Welcome to the site. It would help if you could add more information that illustrates the difference between the two options. Do you have engine codes or pictures? And is your Altima's engine DOHC?

All Nissan Altima from that generation have a DOHC engine, so there is no difference.
