Oct 24, 2023 at 14:18 comment added F Dryer I wonder if the mechanic overlooked brake fluid level after servicing brakes. When a brake pedal goes to the floor, there are a few reasons to explain it; low brake fluid with the brake indicator turning on, a worn brake master cylinder, damage to a brake line allowing fluid to leak out, not tightening brake hose or bleed screw during repairs. Brake repairs are not diy friendly and requires knowledge of hydraulic principles, hydraulic pressures, diagnosing and separating the basic brake system from abs, and knowing what parts meet minimums to replace, and flush/bleed methods.

Oct 24, 2023 at 10:32 comment added Amazon Dies In Darkness Because your mechanic worked on your brakes the day prior to their failure, you may want to consider making that mechanic your ex-mechanic.
Oct 24, 2023 at 10:30 comment added Enter4343 Correct, they worked on my brakes the day prior to their failure. I will ask my mechanic what he meant by "not going back in" and report back.

Oct 24, 2023 at 10:23 comment added Amazon Dies In Darkness What does "the brakes perhaps hadn't gone all the way back in after they put them together" mean? What exactly didn't go all the way in what?
Oct 24, 2023 at 10:20 comment added Amazon Dies In Darkness Having a little trouble understanding the timeline. They worked on your brakes, and the next day they failed?
