Jun 3, 2012 at 16:10 | comment | added | Zelda | The keys use the same unlocking mechanism but the new styles of keys are different (and much nicer). If you buy a new key you'll get the new style. Mercedes keys don't need any hardware to be accociated, you just plug it into your car. However I've heard you're SOL if it's a used key, as they can only be programmed once. | |
