Jul 24, 2016 at 21:48 comment added OB1gamerxD I get you and I thank you. My old mechanic gave up because he couldn't find the problem. He disconnected the abs thinking it would solve it. He eventually told me the light is on due to the back ones turning on fire burning the sensor. He said it caught on fire due to being hot and brake fluid leaking. My new mechanic doesn't know much I've noticed that. I had my hopes high but I think I'll look for another one. Thank you tho I really do need the advice haha
Jul 24, 2016 at 21:42 comment added Martin It could also be the ABS. Sorry, but i think you got the wrong mechanic: What kind of mechanic lets you drive with an inactive ABS? I would go to a new one and let him fix the abs error, perhaps it is not the sensor but a problem with the unit. If the problem persists then i would let him check the master cylinder. Also: 1. It is not normal that brakes catch fire, something is totally wrong here. I think there is a seized brake circuit. 2. I cannot understand the statement of the "too long springs" that cause an ripping brake cylinder, i suspect that your new mechanic told you BS.
Jul 24, 2016 at 21:20 comment added OB1gamerxD Sorry just to clarify. The one getting tight is the front right. But the one getting overly hot sometimes to the point where when I spit on it and sounds like a hot stove, is my back left drum brake. The abs light is on yes but this is due to the cause when my drum brake caught on fire I guess it burned the sensor. Dunno. I could need the help thank you

Jul 24, 2016 at 21:17 comment added OB1gamerxD sorry I accidentally sent it I wasn't done typing. so my new mechanic checked it he said that the springs holding the brake shoes were to long. He asked me to buy a new drum brake kit with new springs. I noticed the difference because my old mechanic stretched the old ones to the point where the drum brake and brake shoes would touch causing the heat to happened and eventually ripping my cylinder.
Jul 24, 2016 at 21:15 comment added OB1gamerxD a while back I was driving to work. And I would smell like my back drum brakes were hot after exiting the freeway at a pretty fast speed. I pressed on the breaks and heard a pop sound. The first time this happened to me my drum brake caught on fire nothing big just a slight flame I could blow out. The second time nothing big just when I left my house it popped again. The reason this happened was my cylinder popped causing the brake fluid to escape. To the point where I had to refill it.
Jul 24, 2016 at 20:18 comment added Martin Please explain the thing about the ripped cylinder. If those two brakes get hot and the other ones won't get hot it means that one brake circuit is blocked. I suspect the master cylinder or the abs system
Jul 24, 2016 at 20:11 comment added OB1gamerxD only the front right brake gets tight and I've noticed the back left drum brake would be hot. This happened a while back when my cylinder ripped and made me drive without brakes but I've fixed the problem. And it doesn't get hot anymore just usually when the brakes are getting to tight after a long while.
Jul 24, 2016 at 20:09 comment added Martin Does all the brakes get tight or only the front brakes? When this happens, you could check if the rims of the rear brakes are hot.
Jul 24, 2016 at 20:01 comment added OB1gamerxD Sorry to mention I had also changed the master cylinder and the brake booster a month back. I will add this to my question too. But the brake pedal feels hard when they get tight and yes I've been checking the brake fluid constantly.
