No check valve on valve cover thanks for the answer. Went ahead and dumped that car for an 05 SRT-4. No more problems. |

v-tech now vs then @DXM yes I see that now. I misunderstood a GM video explaining the new Cruze 1.4l turbo packages which have VVT using a hydraulic system to adjust the cam. |

Jet performance chips & mfgr warranties thats what i figured but I know there are some parts like a few cold air intake kits that claim they won't void the warranty. I think with the way things have been for auto companies, they probably wont be so forgiving. Best if I have them do it or leave it as is. |

Aprillia Pegaso 650 won't start after cleaning carbs, what might be wrong? You say fuel is present in the manifold but maybe 1) it isn't atomizing (jets) or 2) it isn't enough fuel (fuel pump or clogged jets) |

Aprillia Pegaso 650 won't start after cleaning carbs, what might be wrong? When you say you cleaned the carbs, did you clean the jets or maybe replace the jets? What happens if you hold the throttle while starting? |

difference between mechanical and hydraulic clutches Can you elaborate on perfromance? Does a cable driven clutch engage/disengage any faster than a hydraulic clutch? Are there issues with hydraulic being sluggish or having delays in disengaging? |

Hard shuttering and engine dies when A/C is on at idle when the a/c turns on the IAC will open to keep the car at 900rpm. If the IAC didn't open the car would drop to 500rpm and die. |

Forced induction and engine braking It is the Eco version. Previous car was 2006 Kia Rio 1.4l Auto 4sp. Even in 4th gear though, it just keeps going. The car out of gear actually slows down faster (going down hill) then it does while in gear with no throttle. Of course, out of gear means there is no engine braking. |

Forced induction and engine braking Didnt realize there was that much of a diff from a 1.6 auto to a 1.4 (turbo) 6 speed manual. |

Forced induction and engine braking I just realized that the throttle blades would be closed (mostly) so you're correct I don't see how forced induction could affect it unless it's all going through the IAC valve. |

Crate motor for 2004 Dodge Neon Thanks. Dealers are usually 20% more expensive thats why I would rather go else where first, but I have had no luck and I think I have to go to a dealer. Too bad this isn't a chevy, those things grow on trees. |
