I've been programming since my early teens and like so many of us, I started Basic on the usual home computers like Atari 800XL, ZX Spectrum etc. "Turned pro" about 20 years ago.
I've been mostly doing C++ during this time, writing anything from device drivers for various operating systems to trading systems for banks.

What to look for when buying a salvage title car +2 on the avoid :). Actually the only reason for a salvage title I'd even remotely consider would be theft, and I'd want to see documentation on what has been done on the car before even considering that. |

How do I diagnose ABS problem with Toyota CE110 - 1996 The part that makes me think this might not be the case is that you said you already swapped in a couple of other ABS ECUs and they didn't work either. The law of averages suggests that it's fairly unlikely that you end up only with dead ones, especially if they've been reconditioned by someone who knows what they're doing. I think you have an electrical fault, but not necessarily inside the ECU. I'd check for power at the ECU first and then go hunting for a broken wire. |

How do I diagnose ABS problem with Toyota CE110 - 1996 Did you ask your mechanic why he thinks the ABS ECU is fried? They seem to get changed regularly if the mechanic can't determine the fault, but often it's sensors at fault, not the ECU itself. |

Tyre equivalency I'm with Brian on this, RS2s are pretty cheap for this sort of tire and for a car that needs/wants high performance, you don't want to replace them with cheaper rubber from NeverGrip Co. |

Leaking axle bearings Cheap seals, installed slightly off/pinched or overheating because the bearing didn't get enough lubrication would come to mind. |

Body Paint Scratch Repair Either that or grab said paint code and check if any of the local auto parts stores or paint suppliers are able to provide you with a touch up bottle. Just keep in mind that it's pretty much impossible to get an invisible repair with touch-up paint, especially if the paint is metallic or mica. |
