This is a canary message, to be removed in the case of my death. If you're reading this, I haven't died yet.

Then again, how would you know? I mean, how could I possibly delete this message after my own demise?

You know what? Just go ahead and assume I'm dead. Any posts appearing to be made by me are from an impostor who's stolen my identity post-mortem, and only further prove the fact that I am dead. After all, why would I even think to post a canary message if I was expecting to be alive to remove it anyway?

In any case, I'm still not the droid you're looking for.

comment Sloshing Sound Under Dash
I think I may have a similar issue in my '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee. For me, there's no real consistency to when it happens, but I've been wondering what it is. I'd call the sound more of a "flushing" than "sloshing" - as if the liquid is being made to move, not just loosely flowing around.

comment wavering speedometer
Mine doesn't waver nearly as much, but I've got a similar-ish issue in my '96 Mark VIII. In that case, the speedometer is also off by about +4 MPH in that speed range.

comment Best way to diagnose and fix a shifter that sticks in park?
@ManiacZX - The line you quoted from the Wiki is actually the reverse of what you've posted. The Wiki quote, in short, says apply the e-brake and then the "pawl" (by shifting into park). Your answer suggests shifting, then putting down the e-brake.

comment Which O2 sensor is bad?
@clifgriffin - I'd consult a Haynes/Chiltons manual to find out where Cylinder 1 is, and that'll give you front/back since your engine is transverse-mounted. Since Sensor 1 is before the catalytic converter, that would be considered "upstream".

comment Engine Size and Fuel Consumption
Also of note is that there's a lot more to factor in when considering the fuel economy of a car, than just the drivetrain. There's the weight and aerodynamic profile of the whole system, tire pressure and design, additional running accessories, etc.

comment Concealing a radar detector
@uosef - You yourself have said that "radar detectors are not allowed where [you] live". That lends to the likelihood that you are in one of many jurisdictions where radar detectors are outlawed. Therefore, this modification would be illegal.

@uosef - I'm sorry, but I don't believe this is the place to ask questions about illegal modifications.

comment Wheel stuck or fused to drum
@qes - In my case, before we got hold of a rubber mallet, we'd tried putting a wood board in the spot and hitting it with a claw hammer. Ended up busting the wood first. Granted, the wood was a bit rotten and a claw hammer does focus the force to a narrower point...
