comment Should only the left “Rear Fog Light” actually light up in a pair?
Both of my Audis have only the left rear fog active from the factory. This is a common request though and apparently they make a kit to install the second one. As others have mentioned, this is apparently to prevent them from being mistaken as brake lights. I believe on RHD cars it is the right one that is active.

comment How do I find wiper refills for my 2008 Nissan Frontier?
FYI: The upper one is the Neo Form. My Audis take one like the bottom one and I've always been happy with the performance, but they do sometimes chatter in light rain.

comment Will different tread depths hurt my 4 wheel drive?
The primary case I'm worried about is that Ford HQ says it's an issue, whether it really is or not, and invalidates the warranty because of it or something crazy like that. You know, one of those sneaky lawyer tricks. :-)

comment Oil pressure question
I've also seen this happen with Mobile 1 synthetic oil in a newly rebuilt Volkswagen Vanagon (water cooled) engine. Switching to a traditional oil solved it. I suspect what you are listing is much more likely, but wanted to throw it out there.

comment Buying new tires R15, R16, R17?
As alluded to with the "Detroit" comment, particularly low-profile tires like 35 series can easily be damaged by holes in the road. Replacing your own tires is unlikely to be something you can do on your own unless you own specialized mounting and balancing equipment and a high volume air compressor. Though I have heard of people who have done it themselves, my local shop charges $20 or $40 to do it and I can't imagine it being worth it to do at home, particularly without the equipment.

comment Suzuki Jimny 2009 shaking?
A severe warping can cause the caliper to move back and forth as it tracks the warped disc, resulting in shaking of the wheel without the brakes being applied.

comment Engine revs high 5th gear manual transmission
Patrick is, in general, right about the clutch being annoying to do. I've only replaced a clutch twice, and both times was on a car that I was replacing the engine on and had pulled the engine. The clutch replacement is easy, but re-mating to the transmission can be a real pain, even with the centering tool.
