Engine revs high 5th gear manual transmission @BrianMHunt I don't know whether you are a fix-it-yourself type of person, but if you are, I would recommend NOT replacing a clutch yourself. It is a multiday project, you'll want to rip your hair out by the end and you may want to smack you girlfriend's father (who is helping you change it) :-) Oh and also, make sure you get the flywheel turned. |

Ford Probe '94 heater problem @S_Niles I grew up with the understanding that you should flush your coolant system every fall, so I guess even in heavy deposit water systems you wouldn't really have to worry about mineral buildup. |

how to install cruise control (Tempomat) in an Mercedes-Benz 308D from 1992? someone's already gotten to the tags for you, but with tempomat since it appears to be the German work for cruise-control I created a tag synonym and so whenever tempomat is used, it will be tied to cruise-control |

Ford Probe '94 heater problem I've never heard anything about using distilled water in a radiator. The only benefit I could see from using distilled water vs tap water would be that it won't conduct electricity which shouldn't be a concern anyway. |

Are used tires valuable? @PaulBelardi I would hazard a guess to say that unless your winter tires are fabulously expensive, then it won't be worth your time and effort to swap out the tires |

Uneven idle when my '93 Honda Accord's engine is cold I had something that is somewhat the same. My cold air intake sensor went bad on my car and (this would happen no matter the temp) my car would rev from 800 to 2000. A good mechanic should be able to hook your car up to a 'real' computer, a computer that actually shows all the parameters of the car (cfm air intake, engine timing, fuel usage, etc...), not just if a code is being thrown. |
