What could be causing a distinct exhaust drone in a tight band around 3250 rpms on a 2004 Subaru WRX? I believe the reason the sound is tied to a specific RPM range is that the vibration the engine is producing is close enough to the vibrating piece's resonant frequencies that the amplitude of that frequency increases a great deal. More info at Wikipedia. |

What could be causing a distinct exhaust drone in a tight band around 3250 rpms on a 2004 Subaru WRX? Does the excessive noise occur when you are revving the engine without the transmission engaged? If so I would take the car to a shop with a lift, have someone rev the engine to the annoying range and then start looking on the underside of the car to pinpoint the noise. |

Where can I find a data dump of battery recommendations? this is not the site for you to be asking how to collate large amounts of data about cars. It is for asking questions on how to maintain a car. |

Best way to approach a tire with a bubble in the sidewall if there is a bubble in the sidewall, the tire has a defect in manufacture and it should be replace IMMEDIATELY. The tire can blow out without warning. I believe most tire shops will prorate a replacement of the tire since this is almost always a manufacturing defect and not a result of driving habits. |

Is there a way to put Prius with dead battery into neutral? ah, the law of unintended consequences strikes again! while the fancy stuff is nice, it is one of the hindrances of electronically controlled vehicles |

Where is the fuel filter(s) located on a 2006 VW Golf? I'm trying to get a frame of reference of the image. Is the filter near the fuel tank or is it in the engine compartment? |
