Huh, the Real Name field doesn't display.

I post on Usenet using my real name, David Krauss.

@chackrapani That was also true in my case, but you can still hear the sound when spinning it by hand.

comment How to recharge AC using booster from auto parts store?
@MarkJohnson As I mentioned in my answer, the hose on this particular product was good for zero uses. I ended up throwing it away and getting a separate hose and tank. (It was a relief that everything worked the second time.)

@MarkJohnson I was responding to the part "Don't expect to use half the bottle. Buy what you need. This is because once you pull the hose off the can can't be resealed." — it's silly to pull the hose off and let out all the gas, and reasonable to use only half the bottle.

comment Patch A/C condenser?
It's at a bend in the pipe next the side support brace. The pipe winds tightly back and forth through tightly packed radiator fins, so I don't see that kind of fix working anywhere on this kind of condenser.

That is what I've found from asking around. (Actually just talked to a radiator place yesterday!) The cost isn't the replacement unit, but rather the removal, reinstallation, flushing, and redoing seals. Welding without removal is not an option because of the oil inside the condenser. Perhaps I should ask another question about the importance of each of those itemized steps…

It's perfectly reasonable to use half the bottle. I have a half-full bottle which is almost a year old. I can tell it hasn't leaked because of the weight, and it sloshes when shaken. As my answer mentions, I'm not using a "freebie" hose. (Why would you want to remove the hose from the bottle?)

comment What code do I enter to fix my radio on a Mitsubishi Eclipse?
Try 1234, 9999, and any other usual suspects. In the case of my Mazda, it was one of these. Fortunately, the previous owners hadn't changed it. Failing that, yep, try the dealer or a car audio shop.

comment What are the benefits of premium (high octane) petrol?
It's not clear what you are really asking. You provided the link to the detailed claims of the product in question (tesco.com/Momentum99/productBenefits-specs.asp); do you doubt the marketing or what? It has a higher octane number (99 vs 95) and higher energy content ("higher MPGs"). Probably it is more refined and comes pre-mixed with a treatment formula. If you are skeptical, just don't buy it!
