disable passenger airbag on Vauxhall Zafira I guess the best bet is trawl around dealers and aftermarket shops. I'm also toying with the idea of sourcing just the transponder. I have seen second-hand infant seats on ebay, which I wouldn't use but if it's obvious how they work to disable the airbag (particularly if there is warning light when fitted) then it should be possible to remove the transponder and use it with the car seats I already own - and still have the airbag active when it is not in place. |

disable passenger airbag on Vauxhall Zafira Thank you, a very well thought out answer. I like your idea about the borderline safety aspect - that is a logical reason for preventing the vehicle owner disabling it without seat being fitted. |

disable passenger airbag on Vauxhall Zafira Not affecting the question, but to clarify my actual intentions: I'm willing to buy parts or pay money to a mechanic, dealer or store if required. I am not willing to do anything unsafe or illegal, nor travel internationally, nor buy a second hand/ebay seat. I'll accept answers that are very expensive (over £150) but I'm unlikely to spend that much. I'm not interested in infant (<16lb) seats. |
