comment Automatic Throttle Body and TPS on a Manual
For a full and proper understanding of the subject I would recommend reading the American Legend-Jeff Hartmans book How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems. The basic idea is that every sensor on the engine management system produces a signal for every state of operation it at. The computation of all the signals together decide the engines operation. When the vehicle is produced it is with a set of sensors and equipment that are subject to this computation. This is known as the engine 'map'. Change anything on the engine then it puts the map out.

comment I have a GMC Acadia
Mis-adjustment on the selector cable/shift need to be checked. If OK you are looking at low oil level, or a fault on the trans clutches and bands.

comment Impact/Effect on handbrake when parked on incline?
If the car were to fail on the handbrake and was parked as I suggested: Pointing up hill - the car will roll back and be held by the rear wheels against the kerb, pointing down hill the car will be held by the front wheels against the kerb. Any mass of the vehicle will have a mechanical disadvantage minimised by the transmission being in gear.

comment Should I check my rear toe after replacing a rear strut, and how?
The use of a piece of string for a precise job on a road going vehicle is a complete nonsense. No where in question does it say anything in the order of 'getting it to a repair shop'.

comment Power Steering Fluid Compatibility
Do you think that the fluids are made, specified and recommended for no good reason? The wrong fluid will destroy the rubbers/seals.

comment Ford Fiesta and Focus Clutch Issues
Over time I have driven literally thousands of cars, vans and trucks. From side valve Fords to now, brand new built last week Peugeots. (Include American models with the United States Naval Activities, posted in the UK.) They do differ to suit application, and market.
