comment How to reduce engine drag
If your car cannot maintain a constant speed with light throttle pressure, you are in the wrong gear. When you lift off the pedal completely, the car will decelerate through engine braking - If the car automatically disconnected the engine you'd lose the engine braking! In fact, in some jurisdictions, it is illegal to drive with the car out of gear (or the clutch held depressed) as you are not considered to be in full control of the vehicle

comment I bought a new radio. How difficult would it be for an amateur to install?
The one on the left, with a plug on one end and loose wires on the other, is the type described by Rory in his answer. The type I mean has a plug on both ends, with one end matching the stereo and the other end matching the car.

comment Sound system volume fades in/out erratically
The general rule of thumb tends to be "would you take it to a mechanic or automotive specialist if you couldn't fix it yourself" - you would with an electrical problem so I'd say this was on topic. I've added 'radio' and 'audio' tags.

comment how a car engine can get accustomed on some behavior?
Indeed, this then leads to the concept of the 'Italian tune-up' - giving an under-used car a good blast to clear out all the deposits that have built up. This is especially true of a car that does lots of short journeys, as deposits build up more if the engine does not have a chance to warm up properly.

comment What may be wrong with my central locking?
It could be that the signal wire going to the right front is broken - i.e. both front doors tell the system to open, but only the left front and right rear actually work. The right front is only unlocked by the mechanical linkage from its own keyhole.

comment In what order does it make sense to upgrade suspension components?
I agree. The other advantage of having a second set of wheels is that you can switch back to your normal road tyres before leaving - very handy if you're at an abrasive venue and have trashed the rubber you were using!

@Patrick - the tyre trick is also useful when changing a tyre 'in the field'. Sling the new wheel under the car while you remove the old one, and vice versa.
