comment Accessing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in car
So do you already have it connected, but need to know the diagnostic codes? These are available as a table online.

This isn't answerable - it will depend on so many factors.

comment Replacing regular twin shocks with nitrox for my bike
Hi Arun - you have 3 questions here: 1) will this make my back comfortable (ie softer shocks?), 2) pricing/recommendations, 3) Can I fit them inverted. Number 2 is off topic here, as per the faq but could you separate out 1 and 3 as separate questions so they can be answered, please.

comment Why do tires get bigger over the years?
Mauro - not specific cars, but the trend towards smaller cars, such as city cars etc. The ever impending fuel shortage is pushing manufacturers down this route.

comment Hyper-miling and stress on engine oil
And in the US you still have cheaper fuel and oil than the rest of the world, but I would still consider oil so cheap compared to the price of the car that I wouldn't waste a second thinking about it. Just change the oil :-)

comment Hyper-miling and stress on engine oil
Yep - always replace the oil. It is so cheap, and the alternative so expensive, that it makes sense.

comment Jetta repair forum
This site is very useful for asking specific questions, so as you identify each problem, ask them here. If you want a wider view of becoming a mechanic, that would require books, or a course at college etc. - too broad for this site.

There are some obvious answers which could be true, including: they used whatever was most convenient/cheapest in each region

People up vote answers that they think deserve an upvote, but you should accept the one that you fell answers the question best. These don't have to be the same answer:-)

Have you tried loosening the nuts while the gear is engaged with the transmission?

comment Change in engine oil color just after oil change
what happens if you let the engine run for 5 minutes and then check the oil. Viscosity will be improved, I'm sure. And what was the oil you drained out like?

comment Can all transmissions be shifted to neutral at any speed?
your question doesn't make much sense @user3754. mac hits the nail on the head. If you are looking to get different input, maybe you need to articulate your question better.

comment How many amps should my car pull while it is turned off?
The .78amp draw at rest shows this is nothing to do with charging, but instead shows something is just drawing too much current.

comment Honda S2000 with cold air intake; rain driving
I had one fitted on one of my old Subaru Imprezas and while it may have given me a bit more mid range, the only real benefit was that it became a bit smoother and progressive below the turbo spin up point, so wouldn't bog down quite so much in slow traffic = so I figured it wasn't worth it for a turbo car.

R - that doesn't look like warping. I don't know what it is, as they are weirdly damaged. Definitely replace.
