What would cause a car to lose power a few seconds after starting, then run normally? @Tim: I tried to check the wires and then realized it doesn't have wires; it's coil-on-plug. :D I checked the plugs and they seemed normal. |

What would cause a car to lose power a few seconds after starting, then run normally? I took out all the coils and looked for cracks, but there was nothing obvious. I also misted the engine with water while it was running and didn't see any sparks or hear any power drop or anything. It does seem to happen more often while it's humid, though. |

Is Prestone “All Makes/All Models” coolant *really* compatible with all models? Also, isn't this only relevant when you mix it with tap water yourself? |

Is Prestone “All Makes/All Models” coolant *really* compatible with all models? @BrianKnoblauch: The Honda coolant I'm talking about is blue. :) |

Is Prestone “All Makes/All Models” coolant *really* compatible with all models? I find it hard to believe that they can make a generalization like that about the mineral content of water supplies across the entire continent. |

What's the point of the D3 gear in an automatic transmission? Is there any harm in shifting between them while moving? |

What would cause a car to lose power a few seconds after starting, then run normally? I've noticed it happening often in the last few rainy days, so that might be it. |

What would cause a car to lose power a few seconds after starting, then run normally? @Tim: What, you can't magically identify and fix my problem over the internet? :) But for now I'm not sure how exactly to test any of those, so I'm just giving some more clues. Is there a simple way to isolate whether it's a lack of fuel or a lack of spark? |

Check Engine code P0420 Catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1 For the record, my car is the EX, with the D17A2 engine, which only has one catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe under the vehicle, so that's not the issue. The D17A6 has two catalysts (one in the exhaust manifold and one in the exhaust pipe). The D17A1 has only the one in the exhaust manifold. |

Why would a new gas cap cause the “check engine” light to shut off? "Too old" could just mean they don't have the right OBD scanner. My last car was "OBD1.5", and no one could read it. |

Why might SRS indicator light continuously? This should probably be on mechanics.stackexchange.com/q/1912/31 instead of here. |

SRS indicator light keeps coming on, code 7-2 “Internal failure of SRS unit” @BobCross: Yes. Then again, so is driving. |

Does the amount of fuel in the tank matter? Monetary? Since the price of gas is constantly increasing, it's better monetarily to fill it up now while it's cheaper. |

Check Engine code P0420 Catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1 @BrianKnoblauch: Yeah, but which? An O2 sensor is $$, while a cat is $$$. |

Why might SRS indicator light continuously? It's come back several times, though. Same code each time I've read it. |
