Automatic transmission: Is shifting to neutral while approaching stops bad? jp2code : "However, if you somehow were to push just a little too hard and sent the transmission into Reverse instead of stopping in Neutral, you would most likely be faced with purchasing a new transmission." Didn't you know that you don't need to press the shifter button to pass from "N" to "D" and from "D" to "N" ? Apparently not... the purpose of this is exactly to give the driver the opportunity to use neutral while going forward without having a chance to cross it. I've seen lots of chicks who won't move the shifter without pressing the button on it, like it was the clutch... LOL Youre s |
