comment Hissing Sound when Turning Sharp
Probably something steering related... does it have power steering? When did this start? Side note: your Jeep is 33 years old, if the only thing wrong with it is a hissing sound, you deserve a pat on the back.

comment Oil in the radiator, but no coolant in the oil
Think about that little bit of lubricant that comes on a new water pump or a new thermostat, etc. Oil is lighter than water and coolant, so any trace of it is going to end up at the top, which is right where the cap is.

comment What could cause a metal-on-metal noise when braking only while backing?
That's true too, on cold foggy mornings my brakes can be a little cranky when I pull out of the driveway, but usually you have to listen to notice, it's not very obvious.

Sure enough, after taking out the switch it's evident that the problem was inside it. Not to worry mikes, there is no airbag.

comment Most important preventive maintenance for high-mileage car?
Who said you would only get about 2 or 3 more years out of it? If you're changing the oil and replacing the belts regularly, in all likelihood that engine will last another 5 or 10 years with ease.

comment How to properly maintain a collector car
............... 0 miles per week. Let's back up a minute. Every mile you drive any car decreases the resale value. If you want to buy a car just to make money off of it in 30 years, don't drive it at all. If you are asking how to care for a particular part of the car but you still need to drive it, please make your question more specific.
