Does the Timing Chain Need to be Replaced on the 2008 Toyota Sequoia at 90,000 Miles? According to your question.. you went to your mechanic to ask him how much it would cost, and he gave you a quote. If you're certain yours has the chain, just opt not to have it replaced. |

What happens if I drive without antifreeze in my car? Water will boil at a lower temperature, however, water is a better conductor of heat than antifreeze, so your assumption that water wouldn't work as well in hot climates seems incomplete. In climates where freezing is never an issue, water would be a better fit for the job, were it not for a little problem called rust, antifreeze is still necessary for rust prevention. |

Hissing Sound when Turning Sharp Probably something steering related... does it have power steering? When did this start? Side note: your Jeep is 33 years old, if the only thing wrong with it is a hissing sound, you deserve a pat on the back. |

Oil in the radiator, but no coolant in the oil Think about that little bit of lubricant that comes on a new water pump or a new thermostat, etc. Oil is lighter than water and coolant, so any trace of it is going to end up at the top, which is right where the cap is. |

What could cause a metal-on-metal noise when braking only while backing? That's true too, on cold foggy mornings my brakes can be a little cranky when I pull out of the driveway, but usually you have to listen to notice, it's not very obvious. |
