I've stopped arguing with people on SE because everyone is so righteous. Please people: calm down, and open your mind a bit.

On many of the large SE sites such as SuperUser and StackExchange, you have to go through three ass holes to find one person who is truly willing to help.

comment Safe resistance between alternator and battery?
Yeah, I think that chassis wiring is when it is grounded to the chassis and there is only a positive cable.

comment Can I reprogram my car for LED turn signals?
Thank you for the answer, but in the question I specified that I would prefer not to use resistors.

comment Can I reprogram my car for LED turn signals?
I do appreciate the answer, but I did the math, and it is not a simple RC circuit. The measured values for what the capacitance of what "the capacitor" should be do not work out to the hypothetical frequency. :(

I will do a little research on this. If it is simply an RC circuit then it should be no problem, but if it is controlled by the computer it will be more complicated. And yes, I could use resistors, but I would prefer not to waste 20watts on running lights - if I don't have to.

comment Which color headlight is the safest?
Well, I am not using a cheep HID kit in a halogen reflector. I am using legitimate projector and high quality, OEM parts (except for the actual bulbs). I think that the first point you make is really regarding the use of HID bulbs in reflectors. As for your second point I did not know about that, and I am very glad I reached out - so I can learn things like that.

comment Does “DOT and SAE approved” apply across the United States?
Yeah, I'm using all of the lights in their proper places. I actually emailed AZPD and they said it doesn't really matter if there is always an amber color showing as long as there is a visible orange/amber when the blinker is flashing...

comment Which is stronger: solid sockets, or two piece sockets?
The piece to the right in the photo cost as much as a set of 5 of the ones from Autozne, but ACE has expensive sockets. I try to get mine online.

They are fused together somehow. I'm not sure how.

comment 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 stalls while idling
has it actually ever stalled when idle? My jeep's idle RPM is usually between 700 and 500 - and that thing is really hard to stall. What did the idle RPM of your focus used to be? Did anything change, or did the RPM just drop one day?

That's a good idea. I think that's what I have to do.

comment Rubbing noise when driving with clutch engaged?
Hmm. Can't be the tire rubbing or the brakes because it's only when the clutch is engaged. The noise is most noticeable when I am in a high gear (3 or 4 or 5). I'm not that comfortable running my jeep in my garage in 5th gear - where should I do something like that? And if it were the diff wouldn't it only make a rubbing noise while turning?
