I am a senior in high school, and a novice programmer. I know Java and Python (from my computer science courses), but I also know C# (because the syntax is almost identical to Java).

I am working on learning Objective-C for iPhone coding. And learning C++ for my arduino.

comment Which color headlight is the safest?
Well, I am not using a cheep HID kit in a halogen reflector. I am using legitimate projector and high quality, OEM parts (except for the actual bulbs). I think that the first point you make is really regarding the use of HID bulbs in reflectors. As for your second point I did not know about that, and I am very glad I reached out - so I can learn things like that.

comment Does “DOT and SAE approved” apply across the United States?
Yeah, I'm using all of the lights in their proper places. I actually emailed AZPD and they said it doesn't really matter if there is always an amber color showing as long as there is a visible orange/amber when the blinker is flashing...

comment Which is stronger: solid sockets, or two piece sockets?
The piece to the right in the photo cost as much as a set of 5 of the ones from Autozne, but ACE has expensive sockets. I try to get mine online.

They are fused together somehow. I'm not sure how.

comment 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 stalls while idling
has it actually ever stalled when idle? My jeep's idle RPM is usually between 700 and 500 - and that thing is really hard to stall. What did the idle RPM of your focus used to be? Did anything change, or did the RPM just drop one day?

That's a good idea. I think that's what I have to do.

comment Rubbing noise when driving with clutch engaged?
Hmm. Can't be the tire rubbing or the brakes because it's only when the clutch is engaged. The noise is most noticeable when I am in a high gear (3 or 4 or 5). I'm not that comfortable running my jeep in my garage in 5th gear - where should I do something like that? And if it were the diff wouldn't it only make a rubbing noise while turning?

comment which 3m filter for painting?
@KromStern I thought about that. But whenever I ask a question there they tell me its off topic :/ the people here are much more open to slightly off topic questions.

comment Why no alternate (hand-cranked, spring-loaded) starter for a car?
Chances are: if you're out at sea and your starter dies you are in much more trouble than if you're in a car on the ground.

Exactly. I replaced my battery as soon as I start having trouble with turning the car on... Not once I find out it is completely dead. Costco is a great place to go for auto batteries if you're on a budget.
