comment Motorcycle Front Forks: Fork tube stuck in bottom pipe - clunking sound when trying to remove
I have to believe that the groove in the "pipe" is supposed to contain a bushing, and that there's another bushing pressed into the top of the slider. Neither of these are shown on the two diagrams you linked, but I don't see how the fork would work without them. You got the other side apart, were these bushings present?

Can't hurt, but I can't think of any super-likely codes for these conditions.

comment '99 Audi A4 seat belt warning sign
The answer isn't talking about airbags, but seat belt pre-tensioners. I think the caution is a good one, especially when it comes to potentially rendering them inoperative.

comment Is brake working with clutch in ford econovan 1989?
Not sure about this specific vehicle, but cars with hydraulic clutches will often share a fluid reservoir for both clutch and brakes, but the master cylinders are obviously separate.

comment Best way to remove partially stripped and rusted fuel filter nut?
Also, use a flare nut wrench rather than the open end of a combination wrench (or worse yet an adjustable!)

comment What clues are there to identify real mileage?
This brings up another good point. Check the date code of the tires and their state of wear and compare this to what the seller is telling you. If the seller assures you the car is rarely driven, you'd expect older tires, or at least newer tires with essentially no wear.

comment Can my tire blowout be attributed to a lower speed rating?
Your Q rated tire example would still only be a problem when travelling over 99mph. Load ratings, on the other hand, must be taken into account at any speed.

comment Is there any chemical to put on windshield to reduce temperature inside a car?
H2O, when colder than the temperature of the windshield, will reduce the temperature inside the car.

With such short trips making up the bulk of your driving, I'd say that this exhaust fouling is a likely cause of your smoky exhaust.

comment Motorcycle with EFI not starting well
Is there any manual cold-start throttle enrichment control or "choke" control on this bike? Some EFI bikes have a control labeled "choke" that is actually just a throttle enrichment, nonetheless it helps with cold starts.

I kinda hope this is one you plan on "asking and answering." You're probably in a better position to answer it than anyone else, and it seems like you're more than half way there!

@Robbie I've never heard of this operating mode before. Can you point me to any additional information on this (e.g. from Bosch, a common ECU manufacturer)?

Welcome Ricky. If you can smell fuel when cranking, i'd surmise the fuel pump is likely OK. Make/model/year?

comment '00 Civic Brake Imbalance
@BrianKnoblauch right side is the "gutter side" in the US. IMO everything seems to fail faster on the "gutter side" of the car. I wonder if the left hand side components fail faster in the UK?

Not really an on-topic comment but wow, MOT is so thorough! Here in the US, safety inspections are largely a joke. I don't even know where one could go if one wanted to quantify brake balance--I don't know of anyone with the equipment!
