When looking at a transmission, how can I know if there is a LSD? Ah, also you'll need the transmission in neutral to test this. Otherwise the opposite wheel will be forced to go the opposite way. If I'm thinking this through correctly. |

How do you set side mirrors? Robbie, I've found that a lot of manufacturers seem to have their side mirror housings setup to prefer the narrow method. For example, the 2001-2004 or so Nissan Pathfinder: If you set it narrow, the mirrors "go" with the housing more. If you set it wide, they look weird. On another car, I couldn't even adjust it correctly--it was beyond the limits. I've never gone back to the narrow method, and wish this were more widely known. |

O2 Sensor Error after replacing spark plugs? There are lot of variables involved. If the fuel trim doesn't have to be modified that much, no code would be thrown. That could depend on the wear of the plugs. The sensors might be near their end of life and this pushed them passed the threshold. |

2000 Ford Focus, low idle, stalling at lights, white smoke from exhaust - P0171 Code - problem? Those should open up auxiliary air valves on the intake, allowing the car to idle-up. This would also increase the load on the alternator. So, sounds like it might not be the alternator as the root cause. |

When looking at a transmission, how can I know if there is a LSD? Torsens don't, IIRC. However, if it does go the same way (or even stay still), it is an LSD. If it doesn't, it doesn't automatically eliminate it. |

Sound system volume fades in/out erratically I would guess corroded or loose wires, typically between the stereo's output and the speakers. |
