comment Bike is sometimes not wanting to shift into neutral
You don't even have to let go of the lever completely. I usually just release it some, and it switches with gentle rocking. It's easier with engine running, but even without it on usually works fine. I also tend to think that after I had switched to Shell Rotella T6 diesel synthetic oil it started to shift crisper (could be confirmation bias, however).

How severe is the problem? I have 2011 TU250X, but it uses practically the same engine (also on GN250, GZ250, early DR250 etc.). And while the gearbox works okay most of the time, it does need a bit of rocking sometimes to switch it to neutral if it doesn't click right away. Same thing with so-called false neutrals between other gears. The box does have a bit of character to it, as they say. So is it something like it, or is it really a big nuisance, and you have hard time shifting?

comment Small two-stroke engine runs poor
I ended up buying the primer bulb, and taking apart and thoroughly cleaning the carburettor. The passages in it were restricted by the gunk coloured green from copper oxide, so I just wetted it with carb cleaner and cleared out with a piece of wire. After all that it started to work and I was able to use it. That is, until killswitch disintegrated. :D

comment Symptoms of a clogged fuel line (pump runs but engine not starting)?
Check the sparkplugs, if they are getting wet, and check the injector rail or fuel line coming to it for fuel. I have ’92 Jetta (2.0L ABA motor) and had to deal with it before, and I cannot remember exactly how to do that, but it wasn’t difficult. Just have plenty of rags around (because fuel supposed to be pressurized in the lines), and no open fire or electrical hazards nearby. Disconnect the battery.

comment Using narrower tyres than were fitted as standard, for reduced rolling resistance = > fuel economy
Also note that English gallon is larger than US gallon, that’s why British MPG figures are different from American.
