What is an oil catch can for? Thanks. Apparently, on RX-8s, there is a risk of the oil gumming up the throttle body, and causing the secondary shutter valve to stick, which can cost up to a couple thousand dollars to fix. |

Is it OK to mix oil of different viscosity? @BobCross New engine. I'm intending to switch to 5W-30 as better protection for the new engine. |

Is it OK to mix oil of different viscosity? Interesting - can you elaborate on the brands thing? Like, say I'm in a pinch (realized I'm short on oil at a gas station and don't have extra in my trunk). How bad is it? |
