How do I remove the front axle of a 93 Honda FourTrax 300? I recently did this on my Acura and the steps are pretty much right on. The hardest part for me was the ball joint, as it took me forever to figure out to adapt the method in the video with some good old stepping on the knuckle. Also the axle wouldn't come out of the differential until I gave it a few light taps with a hammer (sideways). Last comment is, when using a screwdriver/prybar to get the axle out of the transmission/diff side, be very careful to not damage the rubber o-rings, or else you might have transmission fluid seeping out at the joint. |

Exhaust Flame Kit I don't think the spark is the problem, the battery should be ok handling one extra spark plug. The problem is, in order for the exhaust to be flammable you'd have to stop the combustion in the engine, which is never ideal. I would have a separate circuit to create a spark and then a way to deliver pressurized fuel to where you want the flames to come out. You could use a propane tank, or patch into your fuel system (past the fuel pump) and then have a relay operated valve to only let the fuel out when you want flames. |

Exhaust Flame Kit I don't see why doing this on a motorcycle would be any different. All of the kits I found that you can buy online are for both cars and bikes, and I'd be really surprised if the instructions differed significantly between the two. The real problem with the link I gave is that it interrupts the spark to the engine such that the fuel mixture doesn't burn until it comes out the exhaust. This means you can't really ride and shoot flames at the same time, and you engine might stall. |

Strong vibrations when idling even after replacing engine mounts (automatic transmission) Seafoam didn't make a dent. Compression test is next. |

Strong vibrations when idling even after replacing engine mounts (automatic transmission) I did this except I only removed the throttle head and all the other valves and cleaned them. I didn't take out the whole intake manifold as that would have required draining my coolant and a lot more time than I had. Anyway, this cleaning and spraying carb cleaner straight into the intake manifold did not have any effect on the vibration, which makes me think this is the wrong path. |

Strong vibrations when idling even after replacing engine mounts (automatic transmission) Thanks for the thorough answer. My gut tells me that everything you say is correct and this is what I must do. The loose motor mounts were grinding down one of my CV joints so I had to replace both those things regardless of the current rattle. |

Strong vibrations when idling even after replacing engine mounts (automatic transmission) I did change the tranny fluid not long ago and there wasn't any sign of metal shavings or anything else. New fluid also didn't impact the effect. I'll check the pulley, thanks! |

My 2009 Vauxhall Corsa D Won't Start I had these exact same symptoms happen occasionally on my old '75 MG and like @Nick said, a delicate (or in my case not so delicate) tap would always solve the issue. |

Strong vibrations when idling even after replacing engine mounts (automatic transmission) Great suggestions! I will try the seafoam shortly and come back with results. If it is a pulley or bad bearings (the car is pretty old, bad bearings everywhere) how would I check that? |
