How should I remove stickers or pinstripe decals from paint? Thank you for the detailed answer. I plan to use 3M Adhesive Cleaner to clear away the residue once the sticker is off (before washing and waxing), and perhaps to help loosen up the glue at the beginning as well. |

97 altima 5spd sputters, has loss of power under 3500rpm, dies when clutch is disengaged What were the error codes, if any, when your mechanic replaced all those other parts? |

Ford Probe '94 heater problem For what it’s worth, my Haynes repair manual (not for a Probe, but I think the advice is generally applicable) recommends a two-year coolant replacement interval. As for the water, it reads: “Use distilled water with the antifreeze, if available — if not, be sure to use only soft water. Clean rainwater is suitable.” |

How can I remove a seized brake disc? +1 for suggesting penetrating oil. WD-40 is not as good for this as PB Blaster and other proper "penetrating" lubricants. |

Oil leak when parked on steep incline If you have trouble locating the leak because everything is already dirty, try cleaning the engine compartment and underbody. That will make leaks easier to trace, as well as easier to notice before they grow to the point of forming large puddles. |

How to assess battery charge level and alternator performance? Moreover, voltmeters built into stock instrument clusters aren't always accurate. An aftermarket device may be more accurate. +1 |

Can I drive my 4wd 4runner in front wheel only? My question related to whether the car had a "part time" or "full time" 4wd system. Put more simply: does your owner's manual say it's okay to shift into 4wd mode while on dry pavement? |

Can I drive my 4wd 4runner in front wheel only? Does the front differential lock when 4wd is engaged? If so, this won't work — engaging 4wd will prevent the front wheels from turning at different rates, which they must do if the car is to be driven on pavement. |

Timing Belt Replacement Schedule on 2004 KIA Isn't this in your owner's manual? I worry that this question is too simple and general for a site aimed at professionals. See this meta page for more: meta.mechanics.stackexchange.com/questions/3/… |

2001 Ford Explorer clunk during turns, especially inclines or bumps At what point in the turn does the clunk happen? As you begin to turn the wheel? As you straighten back out? Somewhere in between? |

How to solve unexpected skidding in 1995 Toyota Camry Were these panic stops? That is, were you stepping on the brake pedal as hard as you could? Were you turning the steering wheel at the same time, or was the steering wheel pointed straight? |
