What is the Magic ON temperature for Electric Fans? Did it originally come with an electric fan, or are you replacing the original mechanical fan? |

Maxima (2002) MAF Sensor Failures What kind of failure mode? Completely dead or just returning garbage values? You're positive the ones you've gone through haven't just gotten dirty from sucking some contaminated unfiltered air? |

Car not starting What's the make and model of your vehicle? Do you mean you changed the engine oil, power steering fluid, engine coolant and wiper fluid? Or did you just top off low fluid levels? |

EVAP System or faulty CEL? I thought there would be a stored code present even if the CEL was off, but I could be wrong. If it comes back on, get it pulled if it stays on long enough. Code readers are pretty cheap nowadays and they're handy to have around. |

EVAP System or faulty CEL? Even if the light is off, there might still be a stored code. Might be worth checking. |

EVAP System or faulty CEL? What was the exact code? There are multiple possibilities for the EVAP system. |

Cooling fans not running Chris Ah, I see you did have a bad temp sensor. Confusing that it would feed a believable signal to the dash gauge yet be off enough to screw up fan activation and cause the engine to overheat. Sometimes that's hard to diagnose. I've driven multiple vehicles where the powertrain controller waits so long before turning on any fans that I find myself turning on the A/C to force it to engage a fan. |

Defogger won't work in 2009 Chrysler 300 A/C might not be working, though it's probably hard to troubleshoot that in Toronto in the winter. |

2004 Ford Focus engine cover would not budge after all screws are removed @user133466 Yeah, the idea with the rubber mallet is to break the grip on the seal without damaging your valve cover. Gently tap on the sides of the valve cover with the mallet, hopefully it will start to come loose and you'll get a gap you can get fingers under. |

Is there any safe way to buy a used car and have it shipped to me? Welcome to the site! This question may be pushing the on-topic envelope, but since you mentioned having it inspected, I suspect the community may go with it. Seems to be the case so far, anyway. |

Burning smell, leak, losing power. Maybe transmission related Generally, you check the fluid level on an automatic transmission with the engine running (gear selector in park). You might check it with the engine off, and if it's totally dry, add some fluid (not too much, maybe a half quart to a quart) before starting up to check it with the engine running. |

2000 Ford Focus, low idle, stalling at lights, white smoke from exhaust - P0171 Code - problem? A slight leak when cold that gets sealed as the temp rises sounds plausible. Supposedly, if the head gasket really goes on a Zetec, you'll know, it'll over-pressurize the overflow tank and spit coolant out past the cap. If it's gone on the cylinder side, anyway. I've seen one report of it going on the other side and leaking to the outside. |

How to properly change out spark plugs? @PerT Could you provide a summary of the content you linked to? Link only questions are are generally frowned upon. Also, adding a brief statement such as "Make sure to adjust the gap on the plugs if they're not correctly preset for your application" would make this a much better answer. |
