As far as things that could be susceptible to heat, just about everything. I could believe thermal cycling as the cause for an intermittent fault in the switches, wiring or motor.

I'm happy with the job considering it's my daily driver. For my Garage Queen, I think I'd like a liquid version. Good to hear it should be available. 3M makes an adhesive remover, too, that was handy for getting the last bits of the adhesive off the door metal.
