Hi... My name is Code Jockey, and I'm a car owner.
Also, as the name may imply to some people, I'm a computer programmer, with experience in both Desktop and Web-based development. I own two cars - an Equinox and a Corolla - and they occasionally need a little lovin' - whether it's a drink, a bandage, or just some kind words. But then again, don't they all?

Wheel Alignment: Just how bad is bad? Thanks for your assessment of the numbers! I try to keep tires as perfect as I can (much easier to check than alignment). you say I don't have a solid axle - is it simply not adjustable, or does the manufacturer not specify adjustments, or am I completely wrong? I was told in writing that "The manufacturer does not specify rear CAMBER and TOE adjustments." What does this mean? not fixed, but no camber or toe adjustments? I'll put all the numbers in my question for further reference. |

Wheel Alignment: Just how bad is bad? @Timo A tire shop (don't wanna give them any recognition) - not an alignment specialist. Do you really need to know the particular place? I understand there are shims that can often help to adjust the camber, but I'm not sure about toe. |

Is it possible (or practical) to repair a turn signal cancel switch instead of replacing it? @Brian Alright - so the problem is most likely a worn or nearly-broken piece of plastic that would otherwise trip the cancel action? ... and just to be clear, "pretty cheap" means $1-10, $10-50? more? and I should be able to figutre out how to install it/change it out? |
