I have a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 that sometimes fails to go into gear, and after 45-60 minutes works fine . Clutch was recently rebuilt but I don't know if that included rebuilding or replacing the release assembly.

Any recommendations?

I don't know for sure, but it sounds as though when rebuilt, the clutch was put together too tight. I am not fluent in how a bike clutch goes back together ... I know they are wet clutches, but beyond that ... I would think there would be some type of adjustment for it, though it would have to be done internally. I'd take it back to the shop which rebuilt it and have them take a look at it. –  Paulster2 Apr 13 '14 at 17:35
You might want to check that the correct grade of oil is being used. If it is too viscous it might be why you have to wait for it to heat up and become a thinner viscosity. –  dave Oct 17 '14 at 21:17
