I have an '05 S60 with about 92,000 miles on it. Recently, while driving at a constant speed the car will lose power for a couple seconds- the rpm's drop and then the car will recover and run normally. The check engine light will come on after this event and will stay on for a while (hours and sometimes days). The check engine light will go off eventually until another power loss occurs during driving. I scheduled a service appointment for next week, but I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem, what repair was necessary and what the cost was. Thanks.

There are either too many possible answers, or good answers would be too long for this format. Please add details to narrow the answer set or to isolate an issue that can be answered in a few paragraphs. If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.
