I would like to know the technical name in english of the box/container/cabinet (that external square case, but not the reservoir where the air is compressed) of an air compressor.

That (in the HVAC industry) is simply called the compressor. |

I suspect there is no official technical term for the component you desribe, it would simply be described as the 'casing' or 'cover' for the compressor itself. Most compressors I've come across are uncased, with the motor and compressor unit mounted on top the reservoir. |
